Summer is in the air and so is the need to hit the gym as I prepare for that summer ready body. Here are some of my favourite day to day items that not only feel great to wear but are equally as functional from home to the gym of your hot yoga class!
This past weekend, I had the chance to go to the MarcCain True Bag launch at the Toronto Eaton Centre with their celebrity guest ambassador Sarah Rafferty. If you’re a Suits fan like me, you must love the red headed character Sarah plays in Suits. Sarah Rafferty is just as fun and sassy in person as she is playing the role of Donna.
I got a chance to chat with the starlet about being the face of the brand, the classic chic True Bag and all things acting where she gave me some industry advice as well! How sweet! The collaboration between Sarah Rafferty and the brand will result in a donation being made by Marc Cain to Plan International, a charity close to Sarah’s heart and will also be on sale during the Fashion Week Berlin.
The true bag super sleek and made with calf leather and Made in Italy aimed towards the strong independent women! It comes in three colours aubergine, almond and black. My favourite is the almond, it has this super nude look and feels super smooth with embossed leather and a short handle with a cross body strap.
Ahh yes! It’s that time of year again when all the stars are back in Toronto for the annual Toronto International Film Festival festivities! It’s my favourite time of the year! King street is buzzing over the weekend with festival street all set up and all the major magazines and brands are doing pop up shops and gifting lounges across the city. 2018 for me has all been about breaking into the world of acting and with the film festival in town, networking and vibing with like minded industry professionals has been key! Here’s my crazy TIFF itinerary and all events I stopped by to take in the star studded festival experience.
Hollywood Entertainment Party
NKPR IT Lounge
The NKPR IT lounge hosted its industry panel to celebrate the merging of fashion, music and film. With different panels each day of the festival to shed light on how all these industries comes together to celebrate the mega media world.
With digital media merging with the mainstream industry it’s interesting to learn about how the worlds really collide.
Vanity Fair x David Yurman Party
I love summers in Toronto, the city is buzzing with tourists and locals on patios and coffee shops. Since we get so many months of cold winters one has to make the most of the heat! One of my favorite places to explore during the summer months is China Town and Kensington market. I went on a photo journey with my friend Jazan we took in the sights and sounds. Mixing some heart to heart conversations with coffee, goodies, and some hammock naps. My summer style consists of a mix of monochrome basics with comfy heels and shoes. Check out my full summer style diary below and all the places we stopped by ~
It’s that time of year again! As the music festivals roll in Bud Light Dreams Festival unveils it’s new collaboration with Vitaly.
Every year the apparel and accessories company unveils a custom items for Bud Light Dreams Festival and this year is no different. The logo for this year's Bud Light Dreams Festival is the all seeing eye! In tandem Vitaly unveiled an exclusive look at the Oracle x Gold Vitaly all-seeing eye pendant with a rotating inner circle.
Vitaly also unveiled its other items like hats and tees with the new eye shaped logo for this year’s festival! My personal favourite is the Tarot Tee x Black which features a small DREAMS emblem of the custom tarot card design celebrating the 2018 edition of the festival.
To finish off a custom Dreams Festival Vitaly look, one must add in the Retina Baseball Hat x Black Suede which also features the all seeing eye accompanied by a Vitaly logo.
Bud Light Dreams Festival is going to be amazing this year, be sure to check out the lineup of artists that will be hitting the main stage!
The festival takes place June 23rd and 24th at RBC Echo Beach! I am so stoked to be attending this year. Be sure to keep an eye on my YouTube channel for all the coverage.
My favorite event of the year has to be the Powerball! It’s artistically brilliant and brings art to life in at the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery
Artistically themed rooms with everything from food to drinks and eye-catching art installations. A night of festivities and glamour.
Check out my moving photo gallery below ~
Travelling to New York was beyond exciting!! Not only did I get to attend my first ever Fashion week experience, I was also able to get a taste of the fashion and entertainment industry in New York. I went with my brother to stay in the Arlo Soho for 3 days as we attended 3 distinct shows for New York Fashion Week.
FASHION HONG KONG
RUTH ZABETTA COUTURE
As the seasons are getting cooler the colours must get darker to keep the heat in! My love for black on black pairing has yet to fade away as I continue to explore mixing textures and patterns. I brought my love for the all black ensemble to life in my latest look book shoot in collaboration with Asos.
A gloomy date on Yorkville streets as we venture the city streets in Toronto to take in the sights and sounds of the bustling downtown core.
I’m so excited to share with you all my recent work with Daniel Wellington watches as their newest ambassador. I've always been in awe of the brand specifically the Daniel Wellington classic petite models. The simplistic yet modern watch designs are ideal for ringing in 2018 right.
The watch comes in many different straps and designs which are all interchangeable. My personal favorite pick is the classic petite sterling with a black dial described on their website as representing style and attitude, how fitting!
"A Must-have Statement for every modern icon"
I can easily match the silver hardware with all my other jewelry, making it the ideal choice for everyday wear. I recently gifted my mother the classic silver watch that comes with an accompanying band. Having an everyday watch can be such an important investment in your own success.
I've noticed that after getting my hands on the classic petite sterling I’ve been spending less time on my phone and focusing on my wrist to stay on track and on top of my schedule. 2018 is all about making small changes that can benefit you in large ways across the year. Get yourself a Daniel Wellington watch to keep things productive and glam and get 15% off with my code NAIRISHA15.

French brands Sandro & Maje opened their newest flagship location at the Toronto Eaton Centre this weekend! Just in time for the crazy holiday season. The Sandro and Maje brand is the newest addition to the third floor of the Toronto Eaton Centre, known for its sleek chic and effortless wear!
It's the perfect place to stop by if you're looking for a dress this holiday season or even some gifts for loved ones. The Toronto location was quite busy on its grand opening day with some of Toronto' budding fashion influencers and personalities coming together to celebrate the opening!
I headed out for a night of fashion and fun to see what the brand was all about.
2017's Toronto Men's Fashion Week saw it's latest streetwear collaboration as Get Fresh Company and Puma joined forces in anticipation of releasing its latest line of kicks and streetwear. Puma has been killing it with all its Canadian collabs collaborating with one of Toronto's high-end streetwear shops Get Fresh Company.
Both the companies worked together to reimagine the Tsugi Kori, Puma's latest addition to its Tsugi line. The shoe features comfy knitted sock-like collar and overlays with a rugged outsole. All while being water repellant which is constructed perfectly for the Canadian weather.
The owner of Get Fresh Co Jebril Jalloh started the company from selling clothes from the trunk of his car which later leads to setting up shop in Toronto's fashion district. The launch of the show was pulled together by spacesbyjackflash, Toronto’s budding interior designer, Infusing the colors red, white and black in the set design.
You can purchase The Puma Tsugi Kori X Get Fresh Company sneakers Get Fresh Company at 498 Queen Street West in Toronto, online at getfreshcompany.com and select Foot Locker locations.
Fashion Week for me is notorious for falling during a time that's busy as ever! With back to back events in the city, a girls got to do the run around to keep up!! Luckily, my personal shopping fittings with TopShop saved the day! This year I got to rock some of these TopShop fab pieces to the Fashion Week celebration while also being able to mix and match with items in my wardrobe.
This year black was a staple colour for me, mostly because I feel like I'm just in a bit of a shift in figuring out how I want to continue to build my wardrobe. Black for me is safe, form flattering and the most sophisticated option!
This year I had a chance to discover Amato Couture as it closed off Toronto Women’s Fashion Week and also heald a private viewing in a Yorkville church.
The beautiful display of gowns and bridal wear strutted down the isles of the church. I feel like I just walked into a Victorian fantasy with Lady Gaga music playing. It was an infusion of pop culture punchy couture mixed with bridal and couture wear you’d possibly see in a pop stars music video or super rich wedding!
After all Amaro couture is a brand that has dressed the elite likes of Micheal Jackson, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, JLO and some of the who’s who’s of the music industry! The show was nothing less than walking into a live set of GaGa’s Juda with church bells and spiritual feels with the vanity of fashion!
I enjoyed every single minute! The type of fashion showcase you don’t see in Toronto and with the introduction of the international showcase of Amato Courture, I can’t be more than excited to see how other designers follow.
Alpha industries recently launched its latest collection of jackets for the new fall/winter season! I’m loving their bad ass aesthetics with street-wear military flight jackets, field coats, field jackets, parkas and leather jackets for men and women.
What’s amazing is that select jackets are also available to purchase at your local Urban Outfitters. Recently the brand had a huge launch with artists Majid Jordan as Ambassadors of the streetwear brand in Toronto.
Alpha Industries once used to be a contracter for the American Military which explains why their flight jackets look so real! Today the clothing line is a must have street wear accessory and your best friend on cold Autumn days.
The new collection is mixed with army jean jackets and solid bombers with treads logos! My personal favorite are the ones with Nasa and Humans signage! Check out some of the collection below that launched just in time for the Fall season.
Fashion Week in Toronto has gone through some serious changes in the last two years from being one huge Fashion Week adventure to now being divided into various different shows and runway events taking place throughout the year.
As a Torontonian, I can't help but celebrate the fact that the creative energy in this city is present more than ever! So having multiple Fashion Weeks is actually a good thing once you're up to date with what's happening when.
This year I headed out with my girl Cam Two to the Toronto Fashion Week tents for the grand finale show for Pink Tartan! Let's just say Pink Tartan took the cake by decorating the Fashion Week tents with some super glam merch on their super glam mannequins. The F/W showcase for Pink Tartan closed off Day 3 of Toronto Fashion Week with some glamour and sparkle. Headdresses, feathers, glitter, pearls and everything in between, the Toronto brand had it all!
Check out the full photo diary below of all the runway looks that closed off Toronto's Fashion Week in the Yorkville tents!

A sunny afternoon spent at the Roger's Cup tennis courts taking in the heat & eating poutine as we watch the match ..
My absolute first time at Roger's Cup thanks to the National Bank of Canada and my good friend Chloe Sugar! We headed north of Toronto on this humid afternoon to get some extra tan lines and enjoy the Roger's Cup brought to you by the National Bank.
The prestigious tennis tournament that's organized by Tennis Canada is held annually in Canada. We made our way over to the courts in northern Toronto. We parked at York University and hopped on a shuttle bus that escorted us to the grounds where crowds of tennis fans gathered to take in the matches for the day.

Weekday vibes between work and play call for some mix and match between monochrome basics ...
I recently collaborated with the multi-talented artist visionneilwho will also be showcasing some of the shots from this series in his upcoming gallery preview at the Commons Photography Studio: I knew that working will visionneil meant that I had to take the opportunity to do an ootd look for you guys!! So we got together to do a look book with my favourite look of the season!

This totally defines my aesthetic on mixed sunny & cloudy days when the weather can suddenly take a turn on you and become windy or cold! My new found obsession with basics is well, every growing! I can't help but collect as many basics as I can. They just take my wardrobe to a whole another level because the mix and match possibilities are endless!
Check out my lookbook with visionneil below!

The Ecco x Danish Design event took over the Yorkdale Mall for the launch of the Ecco flagship store in Toronto! I had an amazing time rubbing shoulders with some of my favorite fashion and media personalities. I learned so much about the Ecco brand and what the company stands for.

If you've ever met me, you must know that I've had a bit of an obsession with Post Malone's new album Stoney - I am literally obsessed!! I feel like when it came out I was blasting it 24/7 and to all my friends!
So obviously when my friend @TuxedoSergio surprised me with tickets to the Post Malone concert I was beyond ecstatic to say the very least!!
