PUMA X GETFRESH CO.

2017's Toronto Men's Fashion Week saw it's latest streetwear collaboration as Get Fresh Company and Puma joined forces in anticipation of releasing its latest line of kicks and streetwear. Puma has been killing it with all its Canadian collabs collaborating with one of Toronto's high-end streetwear shops Get Fresh Company.

Both the companies worked together to reimagine the Tsugi Kori, Puma's latest addition to its Tsugi line. The shoe features comfy knitted sock-like collar and overlays with a rugged outsole. All while being water repellant which is constructed perfectly for the Canadian weather.

The owner of Get Fresh Co Jebril Jalloh started the company from selling clothes from the trunk of his car which later leads to setting up shop in Toronto's fashion district. The launch of the show was pulled together by spacesbyjackflash, Toronto’s budding interior designer, Infusing the colors red, white and black in the set design.

You can purchase The Puma Tsugi Kori X Get Fresh Company sneakers Get Fresh Company at 498 Queen Street West in Toronto, online at getfreshcompany.com and select Foot Locker locations.

CHURCH COUTURE WITH AMATO COTURE

This year I had a chance to discover Amato Couture as it closed off Toronto Women’s Fashion Week and also heald a private viewing in a Yorkville church.

The beautiful display of gowns and bridal wear strutted down the isles of the church. I feel like I just walked into a Victorian fantasy with Lady Gaga music playing. It was an infusion of pop culture punchy couture mixed with bridal and couture wear you’d possibly see in a pop stars music video or super rich wedding!

After all Amaro couture is a brand that has dressed the elite likes of Micheal Jackson, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, JLO and some of the who’s who’s of the music industry! The show was nothing less than walking into a live set of GaGa’s Juda with church bells and spiritual feels with the vanity of fashion!

I enjoyed every single minute! The type of fashion showcase you don’t see in Toronto and with the introduction of the international showcase of Amato Courture, I can’t be more than excited to see how other designers follow.

PINK TARTAN FINALE AT TORONTO FASHION WEEK

Fashion Week in Toronto has gone through some serious changes in the last two years from being one huge Fashion Week adventure to now being divided into various different shows and runway events taking place throughout the year.

As a Torontonian, I can't help but celebrate the fact that the creative energy in this city is present more than ever!  So having multiple Fashion Weeks is actually a good thing once you're up to date with what's happening when.

This year I headed out with my girl Cam Two to the Toronto Fashion Week tents for the grand finale show for Pink Tartan! Let's just say Pink Tartan took the cake by decorating the Fashion Week tents with some super glam merch on their super glam mannequins. The F/W showcase for Pink Tartan closed off Day 3 of Toronto Fashion Week with some glamour and sparkle. Headdresses, feathers,  glitter, pearls and everything in between, the Toronto brand had it all!

Check out the full photo diary below of all the runway looks that closed off Toronto's Fashion Week in the Yorkville tents!

ROGER'S CUP WITH THE NATIONAL BANK x CHLOE SUGAR

A sunny afternoon spent at the Roger's Cup tennis courts taking in the heat & eating poutine as we watch the match ..

My absolute first time at Roger's Cup thanks to the National Bank of Canada and my good friend Chloe Sugar! We headed north of Toronto on this humid afternoon to get some extra tan lines and enjoy the Roger's Cup brought to you by the National Bank.

Links of London CA

The prestigious tennis tournament that's organized by Tennis Canada is held annually in Canada. We made our way over to the courts in northern Toronto. We parked at York University and hopped on a shuttle bus that escorted us to the grounds where crowds of tennis fans gathered to take in the matches for the day.

See my full photo diary below!

SUNDAY COFFEES AT SORRY COFFEE CO

I recently came upon Sorry Coffee Co. during a recent visit to Yorkville for a meeting.

A narrow walk-way from the main-street leads right into the cumberland area. If your new in exploring Yorkville, this area will come as quite a surprise.

Especially because of the sudden transition from a busy city intersection to a serene area. The sudden noise of running water from the fountains gives clear indication that this is an area worth exploring.

HILLARY MCMILLAIN ROSÉ S/S 16

Hillary McMillian is a power-womenswear designer who did a particularly stellar job this year of taking advantage of the contrast pallets of rose pink mixed with black. The two colours have always blended well together providing the perfect balance of feminine and the chic element that comes with any black outfit.

These two partner colours compliment pale to medium tone complexions really well! The show was fun to watch, a black and pink army of well sophisticated and balanced silhouettes marching the runway of Toronto Fashion Week. Bold black stiletto pumps with pom poms made the vibe very up-scale soho with a mix of business class.

MIKHAEL KALE X NEENYO - TORONTO FASHION WEEK S/S 16

Mikhael Kale is a designer who knows how to make any outfit stand out from the crowd. The designer is most well known for producing power silhouettes. Specifically for this collection we catch him playing with velvets, bead work, denims & plastics.

A mix of many different elements that synchronize splendidly to bring his runway collection to life. Mikhael Kale utilizes soft pastel colour tones like blue and beige with deep coffee tints, punchy velvets and ocean blue denims.

Beyond grateful to cop a front row-seat to all the action and the opening night presentation of Toronto Fashion Week and my all-time favourite designer Mikhael Kale!

The designer is a personal favourite of mine, mostly because I can appreciate how well Mikhael Kale has managed to keep such edgy silhouettes in his designs balanced with simplicity.

My favourite piece from the collection is this blue coat with plastic elements!! The designer ended up reposting this picture I took of the runway piece on the Mikhael Kale instagram which was super cool!!

Looking forward to stopping by more shows by this talented designer in the upcoming seasons!
