Attending and covering award shows is my absolute favourite thing to do! What makes the experience even better is the dress that becomes a part of that special night. This year at the iHeart Radio Much Music Video Awards, I had the amazing opportunity to dress in Mikael D's most recent designer collection.

Mikael D is a highly accomplished Canadian designer who's dressed the likes of Britney Spears, Katrina Kaif, Crissy Teigen and many other industry insiders. Thanks to my new stylist collaboration with Tuxedo Sergio this dress was most definitely the highlight of my MMVAs evening

I was presented with a few options for the big night but the moment I tried on the Mikael D dress I was in paradise just like the name of the collection suggests. The Forbidden Paradise S/S 16 runway presentation at Toronto Fashion Week premiered this dress on the Canadian catwalk.

The intricate bead-work and precise tailoring makes the dress a quality piece to wear to an award show. Its subtle grey and rose pink combination was delicate enough to offset the heavy nature of the beadwork .

What made the dress stand out the most, is the long train made of a feathery light material that just followed the wind and took me along with it. My signature nude pumps were the perfect accessory to this soft pink dress and the pointed-toe cleaned up the whole look completely.
