BLUE VELVET ~ SHARP SOIREÉ
Velvet is the name of the fall/winter fashion game! Velvet is the new leather this season! From Mikael Kale to H&M, the fall/winter runways shows this year hone velvet silhouettes bringing back some retro 70s vibes. Rumour has it, that bell bottoms and bell sleeves are also making a huge come back.
The H&M STUDIO Collection for fall is filled with velvet silhouettes. This one in particular, I thought would be spectacular for a night out in town for the Toronto International Film Festival. The strong shoulders make it the perfect networking outfit and the long slit give it the right amount of style for a night out.
What I love the most about this outfit is the silver vertical pinstripes. Thought the outfit has broad shoulders it can almost feel like your wearing a bath rome! However, if you accessorize it correctly and skip on the chunky accessories you can definitely get away with it. I kept my style to a super minimal with nude heels and petit silver jewellery. The Velvet dress in a silk blend is the perfect outfit to hit the town during film festival season.
